“Deeply Held Values Are Not Eternal” (English)
March 17 @ 16:30 - 17:30 UTC+2ILS700
Most people tend to believe that our most closely held social values are eternal. Mistake! This lecture will explain and provide examples how the most important values in the contemporary age (e.g. privacy, democracy, incarceration as punishment, how we relate to the animal kingdom and Nature, etc) did not exist in the past and/or might well “disappear” in the future — in large part due to technological and social developments.
